Leading with Creativity: Prince’s Influence on Innovative Thinking
On April 21, 2016, we said goodbye to Prince, a monumental figure whose spirit and approach to music profoundly shaped the creative landscape. As we mark the anniversary of his passing, his enduring influence resonates with me deeply.
Creativity has been a cornerstone of my life, a trait I share with many in my family. My creative pursuits have ranged widely, from designing greeting cards and painting ceramics to creating gallery walls and assembling wind chimes.
Beyond these hands-on activities, I've also embraced the role of a curative curator, meticulously organizing creative events and developing programs from the ground up. This lifelong engagement with creativity has profoundly shaped my perspective, influencing not just what I create but how I see the world around me.
As I carried this passion through my personal and professional life, I’ve always looked to those who redefine the boundaries of their fields. One such figure was Prince, an artist whose approach to creativity has left a lasting impact on how I view innovation and expression.
Prince was not just a musician; he was a visionary who pushed the limits of what was possible in music and beyond. He embraced boldness, experimenting relentlessly with sounds, styles, and identities.
