Prioritize Tasks
Optimize task priority… Optimize your brain’s functioning!
When you prioritize tasks, you’re not caught up with worrying about doing everything and telling yourself off when you don’t, so a million thoughts don’t run through your head.
The Eisenhower Matrix works well for task prioritization.
How it works is, you brain dump or consolidate all of your tasks and put them into one of the following boxes:
Urgent/ Important — To do first
Urgent / Not important — Delegate, or Outsource if possible
Not Urgent / Important — Schedule for future
Not Urgent/ Not Important — Delete if you’re not up for it

Time Blocking
Time blocking is a goldmine for establishing high levels of productivity.
This time management essential will help you to eliminate distractions, and refine your day into prime optimization.
Remember, this is all just a framework. Listen to your body and do what works for you as you implement these tricks.
Rest and nourishment are as, if not more, important than work, and will help you to deliver your most high-quality output for your business’ success. So block out time for them as well!
Time block your day or week by designating certain tasks for set periods of time.
Stick to these time blocks as closely as possible.
You can use calendar apps like Microsoft Outlook or Google Calendar, or write out your day’s schedule in a paper planner. The Pomodoro technique can also help here.
Schedule the day at least the night before so you can flow into the day intentionally instead of scrambling. Again, it’s easier on your mind and will help you to set the tone for the day.
Use Productivity Tools To Automate
Here’s an easy productivity trick — Don’t do what you can simply automate!
There is too much software out there for you to be manually sending out emails to each of your subscribers. But you probably already know that.
Well, there are worlds more out there that can be automated.
Recently, I’ve partnered as an affiliate with Louise Henry to help busy business owners like you take the weight off via Uplevel With Asana, a next-level course which uses the project management tool, Asana.
If you want to fall back in love with your business, plus free up to 10 hours of your work week, have a look at this exceptional offering.
Mind Mapping
Here’s something that’s not mentioned enough.
Mind mapping is a major productivity booster for you if you love coming up with new ideas.
Instead of setting ideas aside for tomorrow (which never comes), the habit of mind-mapping will not only get your creative juices flowing but allow you to better solidify new ideas as concrete and useful business elements as you connect them to existing goals and strategies.
Mind maps are a powerful tool to visualize interrelated tasks.
Plus, the process uses both your left and right brain, which makes you intuit strongly and FEEL more secure as you make more well-rounded decisions.
Limit Distractions
A lot of what I’ve mentioned so far will help to keep you focused so you can get more done with your day.
However, there are a few more keys you can use to limit distractions and increase productivity so your business can thrive:
Avoid multi-tasking - Work-related or not, doing two things at once is brain-sucking and will bring poor-quality results. Our brains are just not suited for it.
Set gentle boundaries with family - If you’re working in a stimulating or very active area, let those around you know that it’s important for you to not be disturbed as you try to get your work done. That way, you can be present and attentive when bonding time comes.
Turn off alerts - We tend to overestimate the likelihood of emergencies happening (I hope!). If you put your phone on Airplane mode or at least turn off notifications for a while, or even just wear headphones, your productivity levels will thank you.
